Jailbreak it before you go any further!
Even if you don't use any of the features now, later on down the line if you decide you want to jailbreak it, you'll have to re-install all of your applications again.

anything dodgy then you'll most likely need a jailbroken iphone - so installing a dodgy copy of TomTom for iPhone requires a jailbroken phone etc.
Although note that jailbreaking the iphone opens you up to a load more applications and features, like tethering without having to get the O2 monthly tethering bolt-on etc.

Was meant to go Christmas shopping but I ended up getting a 16GB 3Gs :look:
Anyway, I'm just in the process of filling the thing up with quirky shit I'll never use. My friend has a fancy pants sat nav on his (Jailbroken 3G) which looks really good, is there a way to get it on mine & it not fuck up iTunes? Or do you have to jail break it to add your own apps?
