Originally posted by CorsAsh-Sport The distance from wall to wall(projection distance is 16 foot, is this OK?). Also, i want to put the projector on a roof stand here(circled), will this be too close the the wall(arrowed), ie, will it need to be in the centre(squared)?
Find a projector that you want, then go here - http://www.projectorpoint.co.uk/ - and use their screen size calculator to work out what the min and max size will be (based on the zoom lever on the projector). Find something that'll suit your wall at your throw distance. When you've established that, hold a piece of string where the edge of the screen will be and draw it back to where the lens will be. If the string doesn't touch the wall, you're fine. I was looking at an Optoma HD200X but at my throw (17ft so comparable to yours), the screen is MASSIVE, far too big for the opposing wall, even at minimum zoom. The solution to that would be to mount it in the middle of the room rather than at the edge, which isn't ideal.
