A new tv would have at least 3 hdmi's as well so you wouldn't need a switcher box.

its only a 32 is all and i could quite easily get a 42 1080p for 600 notes.

this certainly isn't possible, but you'd need to spend about £40/50 quid cables. Certainly would be easier to get a new telly - make sure it has multiple HDMIs or Component (seperate RGB phonos) inputs ;)

Was this one of the first 'HD Ready' tvs available when you bought it? I can't see any other reason for there not being a HDMI port.

Do as above though.

You can get a PS3 VGA cable (About £30 quid of amazon, similar price to the 360 cable). So you would need these two cables, the VGA and Audio selectors (or you could just keep unpluggin and plugging) and a DVI to VGA converter (a few quid).

If it's a DVI-I input then it usually means that it can accept an analogue input (still HD), so (certainly in the case of the 360) use a VGA cable that has a seperate audio leads (which are usually phono, so you'd need female phono to 3.5mm mini-jack cable). If you can get a VGA PS3 cable as well, then all you'll need is a VGA switcher (get something half decent as cheapo selectors add noise to the picture) and an audio switcher.

Otherwise you'd have to either go down this route of -

Consoles (HDMI) -> HDMI switcher -> HDMI to DVI/Audio Converter -> Telly

Which won't be cheap as the converter is around £200 quid. Or, get a HD AV receiver with HDMI inputs and out and then use the route -

Console (HDMI) -> AV Receiver -> HDMI to DVI Cable + Phono to 3.5mm mini-jack -> Telly

It's all a bit of a bastard to be honest :(

Depends on the inputs, if you have component on the tv then you could go that way for one console, which would solve a headache. As for running DVI, like John said, usually there is a mini-jack of phono input but i'm unware of a HDMI leads for either console that has sepearate audio feed (apart from optical outs which is digital). You could get a HDMI to DVI/Audio converter, something like a Gefen, but you're looking at around the £200 mark (at which point it might be easier to get an HD AV receiver off the bay, feed everything into that, then feed the telly from the receiver).

If it is that screen then it'll be 720 (can't tell if it's i or p).

Could be a problem, as i don't think there is cables for the 360 or PS3 that offer a HDMI output and seperate audio via phono or jack (i think the 360s HDMI cable has optical).

Has the LCD got a VGA input? That might be another choice for the 360 as you can get a VGA cable, which has seperate audio leads that you could feed the LCD.

Easiest thing would be to take a picture of the connections on the display and post it up.....

720p, there will be either phono or headphone jack beside the dvi port.

It's not a Logik LCD (model - LOG32W782) is it? There certainly isn't much info about it, doesn't the manual tell you the specs/resolution of the LCD?

easiest way is to change the output on the ps3/xbox to 720i and work your way up (720i, 720p, 1080i, 1080p) 'til the display doesn't work. Then do a hard reset on the console and set it accordingly.

Isn't it a TFT screen?

I don't think its HD.

well i have a lc320w01 and have done for some time now, can you tell me what sort of hd it runs in?

its the strangest hd tv ive ever seen, no hdmi ports instead has a dvi port, now i have ordered myself a dvi to hdmi converter, but i want my ps3 and xbox to run in hd and wondered what i will get with my current tele?

im opposed to buying a new 1 as this 1 works fine

i have tried google but havent a clue what to look for
