Mine has 2 HDD's in... been an option on quite a few for the past few years now.

Well, like I said, it's a 17" widescreen laptop and the base is about 30mm deep, the drives are tiny.

Apparently I can install an additional 2.5" SATA drive as there is space for one next to the HDD that is already in there.

If there was an option for a second hard drive then there will be space.

Very doubtful but it could have been two non-standard drives, such as 1.8" or 1".

What's the model number for your laptop? You should be able to find it on the sticker located somewhere on your laptop (usually the bottom).

My dell laptop was new at start of last year (17" widescreen), you get the option of a second HDD which I didnt take. How easy is it to fit another one? Is it a case of having to remove the dvd drive to fit one in?
