I have an N97 and love it, if you after an Iphone as mentioned i would wait to see the "price war"if one materielises as it will be sure to create a slightly cheaper deal somewhere....

Only issue with the simplicity contracts is that they have a 200mb fair-usage allowance on the web bolt-on. If you get it unlocked then i would get T-Mobile's Solo 20 (30 Day Rolling Contract) which offers the same minutes (600) but unlimited texts and a 1GB data allowance instead of O2 "unlimited" 200mb allowance

quote: I agree with that, wouldn't tie myself to the o2 contracts at the moment when other networks are going to have the iPhone in a few months and will setup some competition for o2's contracts, so they should, in theory reduce their contracts.

iPhone tariffs are dog. Wait till December/January to see what tariffs come out on Orange, t-mobile and vodafone for the iPhone. Hopefully they will be a lot better.

Firstly what do you want to use it for ? Because apart from being an overpriced touchscreen fashion statement, the N97 is equally good if not better.
