Ati 4850 512mb is very good value for money.

Don't buy it from them though  bad delivery record and customer service, just have full specs there.

The dell page isn't loading for me here but I have a 24" dell, not an ultrasharp one, 16:9, it's been brilliant, you get used to the 16:9 quickly but it does look wierd when you first get it.

16:10 usually has the same horizontal but more vertical resolution so you miss about 100 pixels at the top/bottom, I've never had a problem from that though.

I recently upgraded my monitor for the same reasons and bought the following.

The resolution is and sharpnes are superb.

Being a 16:9 monitor instead of the usual 16:10 it's very wide and excellent for viewing 2 web pages side by side. I also find it better for Photoshop as you can view the photos larger as the menus are so far apart.

Hi Guys,

I am thinking about upgrading my monitor and graphics card to bring the computer abit more up to date.

The monitor is a good one but I want a better colour space for editing photos in photoshop etc.

Also the graphics card needs to be upgraded as the computer has changed from being a very quiet media player to more of a gaming/graphics/media server workstation so I can get some more ooommmpphhhh and not worry about the noise.

I am looking at this monitor:

Dell 24" HD

And this graphics card:
GTX260

GFX was chosen as the GTX260 is supported by Adobe for loading up the GPU rather than the CPU for much better processing

Monitor was chosen as it looks nice :o I would much prefer an ultrasharp screen and would be happy to pay the same but have a 20-22" ultrasharp. Must be wide screen though.

Any advice? Better suggestions?
