vista just brought out Service Pac 2 and its fucking with peeps laptops and pc's

best advise i can give you is get a decent defrag program, a registry cleaner, and give the pc / laptop a good spring clean.

msconfig and turn off all non essenchal stuff
also turn off all un nessasery servises make sure you clikc on hide all microsoft serveses..

that should make it run quicker

choose selective startup and turn off 'load startup items'...

there will still be a shit load of unneeded services though

PC seems to take 4mins + to load up and be ready to use. Used to take 30seconds tops now just takes forever.

Asked before and was reccomended to turn off auto updates which i have done, it loads the desktop in seconds, then if you move the mouse to an icon, click on it nothing happens. 4mins later the program opens.
During this time, no noise is aparent from the tower, it seems that it has just frozen :(

Any tips?
