Weird, cos I can drag AVI's over to a new VCD... So you can watch the film, but nero doesn't understand it?

Just get Nero Burning ROM with the MPEG2 PLUGIN. It will burn vcd/svcd straight from AVI/MPG.

A lot of the problems with VCD's/home made DVD's playing in DVD players is that the DVD Player is restricting the region. Mine is easy to make region free, I just have to type a number in when the tray is out, then press play and away it goes.

Try looking on http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdhacks.php?dvdplayer=&DVDselect=&Search=Search for your DVD player and if it is hackable.

That Intervideo Producer (I think that's the one) that I used did it fine, although it did take a while......and quality was decent (as much as it can be when the original file is an AVI).

Go to www.download.com (might be downloads.com, not sure) They have shed loads of software available for download, should be able to find something there to do it.

Its porn innit Steve! ;)

Ive never had any luck changing AVI's to MPEGS. Nero does it for you I think but they wont play in my player! The only ones that have worked for me have been MPEGS to start with and have been changed to VCD using Roxio easy cd creator!

I've got a program at home that will do that, it's one of the InterVideo programs (Producer, I think).

It converts from AVI to MPG, and creates a 3Gb file, which will fit on a DVD (they're about 4.5Gb discs, I think), as long as you have a DVD-R drive.

Burn it to a CD as a VCD.

Steve

Hillzlo

You may have to get a program that makes it into a *.mpg.

Not quite sure tho.
