Why are people saying VNC is better (genuine question, not sarcastic)?

VNC would be far better for your setup.

depends which OS you're on does it not? if you use RD to an XP machine for example it'll lock out the machine, the server OS's will let you have afew sessions on the go. not that it'll matter much if its just sat under some stairs.

VNC basically takes control of the remote devices keyboard/mouse and displays the video output to you. Remote desktop creates a new session on the remote device

Remote desktop, just enable it in system properties then use the client on another computer to connect.

How does this work over a network? Have an old machine with all our back up HDD's in under the stairs connected to network. How would i use remote desktop to access this, with out having to move it to a screen, keyboard etc etc. at work they use PC Anywhere to access remote machines, without anyone having to access the other machine to accepect the connection. Im sure theres summing in windows to do this. ???? |
