A customer of mine recently had the same wireless disconnection issues on Sky (with a Sky router), in the end I got Sky to send her a replacement router free of charge as her one was duff, the replacement has been working fine since installation IIRC.

did Sky provide the router? if so then try what the dudes above have said about changing the channel the wireless signal runs on by configuring the router.

Which router is it? My misses had a Belkin thing - that used to disconnect all the time. I phoned Amazon for a refund which they gave, and they didn't even want the thing sent back :

My friends lap top randomly disconnects from the wireless internet quite often, like from every few mins to an hour or so. All i know is its on Windows XP and the broadband supplyer is Sky. Anything obvious we can try so it works properly? |
