i doubt it would be anything to do with the channel as he said it works fine with another pc and laptop. Worth changing to one thats not being used in your area though.

As he has said its only his PC that is doing this i would start looking for issues such as
wireless card drivers
wireless signal (are you the furtherest away from the router? which means it could be due to weak wireless signal?)
spyware? Ive seen many pc's get page cannot be displayed errors due to spyware clogging up the system.
Torrents running in background? - i know this contradicts what i have just said but do you have anything in the background that could be taking up alot of bandwidth (aka downloading / uploading) such as torrent programs and or limewire! (check no 1 is downloading from you!)

if it was the channel the globe icon at the bottom would change to a yellow warning triangle so its not interference

Does it work fine if you whack an ethernet cable in instead?

Do you know how to access your router?

If so try changing the wireless channel.

Oh yeah *slaps head*

Right, next time it does it, ill try to remember to do it

Also, is it easy to explain how to open a port? Utorrent and limewire say they cant connect/properly because there are no available ports and i need to open one.

When you say "it stops working" do you mean it comes up with a "this page cannot be displayed" message?

Every so often, could be half an hour or 3hours the internet on my laptop stops working. The little globe on the 2 computers on the toolbar stays there, when i 'diagnose and repair' it says theres no problems.

It works fine on my PC and mums laptop.

Any ideas?
