Changed a filter. Speeded up, still slower than what it is prior to 5pm but a lit faster than what it has been like!

I have the upto 16MB BB from Sky.

It maxes out at 12MB but it's always been spot on. It does however, occasionally drop off altogether for a few minutes but i can live with it.

As John said, sounds like throttling, have you tried unplugging everything and just plugging the router into the Test socket (main phone point) in your house, after 5?

That just sounds like their network is being used heavily when people come in from work instead of a problem.

I've had mine for a year and a bit now and never had any problems :)

Will have to phone them up and let them know there's a problem...

I'm on SKY BB now...it was activated today...seems ok so far...

Only on the Base 2MB service...

Plug the router into the main phone point in the house and unplug all your phones, if it's still happening it's nothing in your house causing the problem.

If it's not in your house the only thing you can do is get onto sky, they have various tools available their end to find out where the problem lies.

Possibly the phone line then.

Prehaps a prob with your phone line or PC if its happened with 4 ISP's.

Had Sky BB about 3 weeks, super fast except at 5 for about 30 minutes (Which it says in the small print, fair enough)

Since Saturday it has been ridiculously slow, to the point where the only website I can get on is here.

Just me or are other sky users affected?

This is my 4th ISP now and this seems to happen with them all :| Brand new router too
