I use my 32" LCD TV for my tower PC, been using it like this for months, you need good graphics software to select the correct resolution for your panel otherwise it will be blury. So find out the actual resolution of the panel and try and set it in display properties. For example mine was 768x1280 so I had to setup my graphics to display on that resolution. Use 768x1024 and the picture will distort.

If it's only to be used with the tv and not a monitor as well what you've got will do fine.

Onboard graphics, the only way to do it with that set up would be to get a vga splitter cable, which would show the same on both monitor and tv, which won't have the same resolutions and a 3.5mm to 3.5mm with the same as that green one for the sound on both ends.
