port authorisation code (pac) is used for porting number from one provider to another, they have to give it you within 5 days of request. | |

going off what ajmair said i need to get another pay as you go sim card from say O2 so i can trfr my current orange number over to them so that i can then trfr it back to orange. | |

Just requested mine from Vodafone. The only issue I had with getting it is I had to sit through a few minutes of why the Storm is such a good handset :lol: | |

PAC code is what you want but you need to be at the end oif your contratc (within 70 days ish). | |

It's illegal for them to withold it I think, sure Robbo or somebody will know for sure, phone back and tell them you want it before you get off the phone. | |

i was told the other day that if i rang up a phone company and asked for a certain number (forgotten the name) but it meant that if i gave the new phone company this number that it would transfer my phone number across to it. |
