Spent a couple of hours up a ladder in the freezing cold swapping wires about there, to absolutely no avail.

Swapped the original back in and everything works fine so the dish definitely hasn't moved, possible early life failure pcb.

Yup, turned auto standby off and it seems to have solved it. I know I didn't change it in the first place though!

Same happened to be bud, must have defaulted back to that setting after a software update

I know more about sky than that, I know they would.

I paid £17.50 for an lnb and got a free sky+ box instead of the nearly £200 they wanted to install it .

When you ordered multi-room you should of got them to wire it all up free of charge..

I phoned sky when I thought it was a viewing card fault.

They'll firstly charge to send somebody out then not touch it at all since I bought and installed the lnb myself, hence me asking here.

Well why dont you ask sky to sort th problem out? Surely they wire multi room up for you!

Do you have to subscribe to multi-room for these to work?

Got an octo LNB off ebay, fitted a few days ago, all working fine until the evening of the 31st.

I have 2 sky+ boxes and a normal sky box.

On the 31st the normal sky box lost some channels, mainly ones lower down the channel numbering, discovery and up and some lower down channels still work though.

Tried swapping boxes, feeds, swapping cables around on the lnb, tried a spare cable I have coming from the lnb, box works fine from the feeds going to the sky+ boxes.

Randomly found out half an hour ago that if I unplug my sky+ box (or remove the feeds from the back of it) that the faulty feed/box/whatever works fine, plug it in again and the fault comes back.

I'm a bit stumped atm tbh, especially because it was all working fine.

I've emailed the guy I bought the lnb from incase it's a common problem but I can't see much on the net about it.

Any ideas?
