Also, 5dr corsa, I dont really want to buy a new one if I can help it, I only paid £70 for the laptop, a battery is normally around the same price..... | |

Thats the problem Ian, it doesnt start at all after charge, as far as I know it doesnt even charge, like the cells are knackered. Ive just had a look at the battery John, its lithium-ion so NiCad doesnt play here.... | |

If it's that ancient it uses nicad batteries you can shock them back into life. | |

You can try charging it full then running it down fully repeatedly a number of times. You need to completely flatten it each time so you can't just leave it in the computer - they power down before it gets too low. Light bulbs normally work well but you need something at the same voltage. | |

Ive bought an ancient laptop to use with OpCom/AbCom but the battery it has is shafted and wont keep charge. |
