Yeh but DDR3 is already available so you are already technically buying out of date stuff. | |

I'm in the same sort of situation as you James, I want to upgrade my RAM as it's not as good as I'd like but I have the same mobo as you (and cpu!) so it's not worth paying more for DDR when DDR2 is much cheaper and better, prolly gonna sling the mobo and cpu out and get a mobo that will take ddr2 - but then do I get a new gfx card, HDD etc etc | |

I wouldnt bother for a while with either, if it can handle what you want keep the money for now and upgrade after the next gen tech comes out. | |
