just try it if it works you have a free phone if it doenst they will still presume it has been stolen and that party are trying to get it to work, you put it to one side and order another from tesco

ok mate i will try that, obviously im not even sure they would of blocked it.

ill ring customer services and tell them something like i phoned the other day to block my phone as i thought it was lost, ive found it now so can they unblock it. surely they will then see if its blocked or not.

I dont think they will do it though as they will see they refunded me for the phone.

where is the IMEI number

MMM, is there anyway to get it going again if they have done this.

If the phone has had this done will it come up on it as soon as i put a sim into it and register it.

Yes, they blacklist the IMEI

Sony ericsson W910i

So they can just block the phone itself even if a sim card has not been registered to it yet.

err, ask tesco?

yes they can block it and if youve reporte dit as potentially stolen then they will have done but it can be reversed

I ordered a tesco mobile phone a few days ago, and when i returned home from work one evening i fonud a card put through the door saying package left by plant pot at front door.

There was no package, so i phoned tesco explaining and they appologised and gave me a refund. Well over the weekend i saw my neighbour and it tunrs out that the delivery man left it on my doorstep and my neighbour took it in and this was the first time they had been in at the same time as me to give me it.

Good time = I got a free phone

Bad times = Can i use it or would Tesco of blocked it somehow, I know network providers can block phones when they have been stolen using the phone number or the IMA number or something like that. Will the phone be blocked only if i register the new sim in it.

Anyone know about this at all
