Yeah its sorted now :) Got them from the site. I was just being lazy and wanting someone else to do it for me.

Running Vista Home Premium and running it well.

I'm putting Vista on it now, that seems to install ok because i guess the Sata controller drivers are on the DVD....would still prefer XP though.

There is normally a setting in the bios to fix that although I can't remember what one it is off the top of my head.

I've been given a laptop to re-build from a guy at work. He bought the laptop direct from Dell. He stupidly bought it with Ubuntu on it (or Umbongo as he called it :lol: :lol: ) rather then Windows.

I'm putting XP on it for him. However, when i run the installation, it says "Setup cannot find any hard disks". I'm guessing i need to have the Sata drivers for the install.

10 Internetz to who can help me find the drivers i need :D
