http://www.ukfsn.org/
http://freeola.com/broadband/

There are others, they mostly offer the same packages.

I've been with ukfsn since jan, full speed of my 8 meg line, no downtime or other problems with the service.

Plusnet openly throttle p2p traffic, I wouldn't go with them either.

which makes them a better ISP than Talk Talk, Eclipse, BT, Tiscali, Virgin who all try to hide it! Source

Plusnet have won numberous awards for being the most open about their products.

Or go with somebody like an entanet retailer who is cheaper, gives better limits and doesn't throttle it at all?

like who?

Yea dont go with any of the 'mainstream' or 'normal' copanies, they are fucking everyone over. Whats the point in having 8mb (or 24mb on Virgin??) if you arent going to download huge files with it  Might as well just stick to 1mb dl / ul for gaming and surfing

Ive decided to go with O2 in the end. After reading many reviews and rating sites O2 seem to be commended on great customer support. Aslong as the speed I get is somewhere close to the 4.5Mb which BT wholesale says my line can achieve then il be happy. Theres a 30day opt out too, so if my speeds are horribly bad then i can cancel within the 30days. So far ive recieved 4 text messages and emails from them letting me no each stage of the order process. Ordered last night and will be connected by the 21st which im happy about.

Would have liked to go LLU but Orange only offer an 18month contract, Sky would mean getting the whole Sky TV package & Tiscali pretty much speaks for itself. Just hoping the Be start LLU at my exchange which they have been planning for awhile. O2 said should that happen within my contract they will switch me over to the cheaper LLU service.

So far so good

Im sorry, but that is just bull crap

Anyone who puts AOL, BT, Talk Talk, Tiscali and Virgin (who are shocking their p2p customers) above Plustnet really dont have any ideas about ISPs.

Hang your head in shame CorsaB4ever and dont ever post a link referring to AOL again :|

You'll get faster speeds with llu and it's normally cheaper.

All of the above apart from sky aren't any good though.

I'd go with an entanet reseller if you aren't going llu, such as www.ukfsn.org

Now my phoneline is all sorted just about to pick my ISP. After reading reviews O2 have looked my prefered choice but im in an area which can only receive their 8Mb Access version which uses BTs equipment. Its now a choice between O2 and a number of the ISP's which have LLU in my area.

The ISP's which offer LLU in my area are Tiscali, TalkTalk, Sky (not really an option) and Orange.

Are there any great benefits of choosing one of the LLU's above over using BT's own lines?

Im looking for 12month contract
Up to 8Mb as my line supports 4.5Mb via ADSL Max
Unlimited download caps

Thanks
