i have this, got it for 700 though, i love HP's and this is my third, its a blinding bit of kit and comesx with an HDMI output, whihc is great cos it up[scales films really well, more noticably on it than my PS3

Everything you've listed will be standard on most modern laptops anyway. £700 will get you a mint laptop, but you could get what you need spending half that.

Would like a laptop, dont know much about computers so after advice on what I should be looking at

Key bits:

Needs to have a wireless card or whatever installed for internet
DVD drive
15" or bigger screen
want to be able to plug it into my LCD TV not sure if that requires anymore than a cable though so maybe not important?
Look funky and not be too unreasonable weight wise to carry occasionally
Hopefully max of £700 if possible?

Wont really be doing much in the way of work or games on it. Just music, dvds & internet but still obviously want it to be quick.

Any advice appreciated! Dont know where to start when it comes to processors or any other inner workings of the machine.
