There are programs that will copy the songs back in to iTunes on the new computer.
Sync the iPod with your old computer, then:

Jakey- if you could explain in simple terms about how to do the formatting etc I would very much appreciate this :) And how to put the songs on an external HDD :look: Muchos gracias :)

From my experience, if you plug your ipod into your laptop the only thing you can do is format it which means losing the songs you have.

Only thing i can think off is get a USB/external HDD.

Songs from PC onto HDD, then onto laptop.

Plug ipod in, format with laptop and put songs back on.

Probably not the easiest or best way but certainly a way round.

Ok you geeks may be able to help me out here :D

I've got a new laptop (finally!) however my ipod/itunes etc are all saved to my old dinosaur laptop. Does anyone if I install itunes to my new laptop will I lose all my tunes on my ipod? And ifso is there anyway I can get around this?

I apologise in advance if this seems like a silly question but I'm not 100% aux fais with certain techological things :) And thanks for any help/advice in advance!
