I had to download a program callled combofix - ran that - posted the log and then a moderator on a geek forum (geekstogo.com) helped me out | |

try turning system restore off, then do a scan. Buggers hide themselves in there and the OS restores them when you remove them. | |

I've had this, downloaded about 10 different spyware programs and none of them would get rid of it! Had to re-install Windows in the end. | |

I've read up on the virus and it says that it attaches itself to either the logon.exe or IEXPLORER.exe I notice that it keeps turning my "automatic updates off" and resetting my cookies "accept all" | |

its a virus, it wont be gone, will come back. i had it, ended up formatting laptop in the end | |
