For future reference or if you want to increase the key security.

ahhhh, this must be what I'm doing wrong then, you have to set the WPA yourself? I assumed it was preset.

No ash.

WPA keys are words, one I've used at my mates house is clockwork.

WEP keys are a1b2c3d4e5f6 in that format.

Plug a computer into the router, go onto the box (normally one of the following:

192.168.1.1
192.168.0.1
192.168.2.1
192.168.1.254

Login and change the wireless settings :)

Will the WPA key be like this?

SP-xxx xxx xxx?

Hmm, will have to try.

Weird thing is it connected intermittently to the PC for a while then failed completely.

try without security... if everything connects fine it's related to the security. and go from there.

what happens when u try to connect using a pc does it go 'connected with limited connectivity?' or 'connected' or 'connection refused'

Try it without a WEP key and see if it connects...

If it says connected but limited connectivity it'll probably be some mess up with the IP assignment / DHCP built in, and it may be a good idea to switch the router off for about 5 mins and then start it up again to allow it to re allocated ips.

DHCP server enabled? allow remote connections enabled?

are you entering your password or the 64bit key

I can not get my W-Lan set up :(

My PC, PSP and PS3 all detect the router and its SSID, I put in the Encryption key when prompted, then they'll try to connect, get as far as obtaining an IP address then fail in an epic fashion. Tis really quite tedious now.

Any ideas? Could I be entering the key wrongly? It finishes with "The Key Information Exchange Timed Out"

:(
