If you are going to spend money at the moment getting a new screen the IMO its worth spending a little extra and going for the 1080p. Then you have a TV which is up to the current HD standards

I'd find something you like and get John Lewis to price match it as they give you a slight discount and a 5 year waranty for free.

I got mine from Currys, so did my mate, neither of us had any problems. But any big company should be fine anyway.

have you seen the lf66 in the flesh? When i see it, it was next to a 40v3000 sony, the lg looked 10x better. Very good value for money. Im in middle of saving for mine, for the new house.

Personally i'd go for a 1080p TV just because it's the newest technology available, and therefore, should last a bit longer in the long term

I wouldnt know if the LG 42" 1080p tv is worth getting, or if i should just get the best 720p out of the bunch

I know i said £700 my budget and tbh ive really got to stick to it as my old budget was £600, but then i saw the LG 1080p tv at £670. so actually i dont really want to spend more then that £670. ive got other things to pay out for

I realise you said £700 max but if you can go up to £704 you can get the LE-40M87BDX which is a 1080p panel and a very good one at that too.

Its for gameing, movies and TV, Smallest id buy is 37", ive got a 32" at the moment and it feels small now, i dont think a 37" would feel that much bigger either
