so to clarify, its the right cable and the output should come through either pc or vga?:o

Have you tried the Function + F5/F8 Key

Switch between your display inputs?!

i can select either ext 1 or 2 but thats it and no fucking picture!!!!

It will be av and not pc, it's just like connecting a dvd player or camcorder etc, you should be using vga.

Right ive got a hp laptop and a samsung 37 inch lcd tv.Ive tried to connect the laptop to the tv using a SVGA VGA 15 pin Cable PC to LCD Plasma TV Lead but my tv isnt detecting the laptop signal.The laptop is set to external monitor and i cant select the PC bit in the tv menu on the tv.
BTW im running vista, is this the problem?
