The DCIM folder is on the phone. It is your standard folder for images.

Open my computer and look for another drive that should appear either D: or E: etc... this will be your phone and or memory card. You should have a DCIM folder. This is where you can place your photos etc.. You can use another folder but I can't remember which one. I don't have an SE phone at the minute.

You should just be able to view the directory on my computer and drop them in. You have a dcim folder?

It's the opposite of this:

How do I move a picture from my phone to my computer?
To move a picture from the phone to the computer, you need a USB cable.
Connect the USB cable to the computer and the phone.
In the phone:
When you attach the USB cable to the phone, you are prompted to choose between File transfer and Phone mode. Choose File transfer, then press "Select".
On the computer:
Open My Computer and your phone will be visible as a removable disk. Double-click the removable disk. Several folders are now visible.
You'll find the picture in the "Image" folder or in the "DCIM" folder. (This differs depending on whether the phone has a memory card or not.)
Drag and drop or copy and paste the picture from this folder to a folder on your computer.
Disconnect the phone from the USB cable.
The picture has been transferred to your computer.

You need to select file transfer mode. However you need to install the USB and associated drivers from the Sony Ericsson CD you should have got with the phone.
The phone and memory card will then show up as a seperate drive in my computer and you can browse, copy and move files as you would on your C:\

does your phone show up in "my computer" when you've plugged it in via USB? if so you should be able to just open it up and see what files are inside, much like a USB pen, some phones want you to use their own software i think though :boggle:

I'm trying to transfer files from my phone onto my computer and visa virsa. I've plugged the USB cable into my phone and the pc, but it only transfers random photos from my phone to the pc.

So my question is - How do you transfer specific files from my phone onto the pc, and how do you get them from the pc onto the phone?

Ps - limited computer knowledge!
