Can you explain what you have done so far, it will be easier for us to understand to try to help.

I guess this is a new wireless router that has come out of a box, You should have it connected to the phone line.

have you been onto the router (usually a web page) to setup your internet username and password?

It'll be not entering in the correct security key, either find out what it is or turn security off then try to connect.

That looks like the output isn't complete.

try the instructions above, but where Adam has suggested typing "ipconfig" please type "ipconfig /all > c:\ipconfig.txt"

Then if you go to my computer (or what ever it's called in vista) and go to your c drive, you will find a file in there called ipconfig.txt can you paste the entire contents into a reply please?

the gateway is where your computer will send all the traffic it doesn't have a pre-defined route for. you need to check your ip address and mast to try and work this out

Wireless networking, allows connectivity to a network.

A network is not the internet :)

OK i'm probably being a retard but i've got a laptop and it has wireless, using the WLAN i can connect to a network but the network wont connect to the internet?? Any ideas why??

It says plug a cable into the network adaptor or something to that effect, i thought the whole point of wireless was no cables?? sorry for my stupidity on this matter, any help greatly appreciated:thumbs:
