Have you sat on that 3 seater sofa to know it's overkill?

Impressive shit but to be fair, yes, a waste of moneY. The projector and screen, fair enough, but major overkill on the speakers, and as someone else in the thread said, if i spent that much on a cinema, id want want more than a 3 seater sofa in the sweet spot for me and my friends to enjoy it!

although i agree that you could possibly get equipment that would do near enough the job for half the price (more so on the audio side of things) the Sony SRX R110 projector (at £50K) is brillaint - 4k resolution (9 million pixels, thats 6 more than bog standard HD 1080), 20k:1 resolution :! > SRX R110 Review <

:lol::lol::lol: Fucking fantastic :thumbs:

Good god on toast I wish I was minted. :lol:

Look at all the lovely valve amps :lol:

I'm sure i'd be able to squeeze some Krell mono blocks and at least one pair of B&W Nautilus in there too. :lol: :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

The room is acoustically treated, thats the same mistake all the other people made when slating him, they should have read the full story first.

Again, I don't know the guy or know about stuff that high end but from what I read about after that he knows what he's doing and that writer is a high end guy and he amazed him.

Unless any of the commenters have actually sat on that couch my opinion is they're talking rubbish.

on the audio side of things i think it would be possible to get something that is half the price and sounds just as good. The thing that gets me is that the room, although specially built, isn't acoustically treated (not from what i can see or read in reviews) which could have potentionally saved him a lot, and given him a better sound.
Plus snell speaker aren't exactly known for being the most precise and sensitive sounding speakers, which questions the use of tube amps - krell and the likes would have probably been better.

But then again, he's trying to push the boundaries of technology, especially with the sony projectors.

There's also that other multi-million dollar home cinema, i think in Texas, which was also pretty impressive, with custom speaker installations. Anyone remember the link?

Read all about it.

There are a lot of coments saying you could do it all cheaper and better bla bla bla but the guys credentials seem to suggest he knows what he's doing.

He was on my email list if i had won euromillions.
