Hmm, thats the right SMTP server address for BT Broadband.

Have you made sure you've told the email program that the SMTP server requires authentication and used your BT Broadband account's username and password?

Also, the SMTP server can use either port 25 or port 587, try both. Ive heard of people changing from one to the other and that solving problems.

Worth a try anyway.

...for BT broadband?

It says I need to leave my mail server as normal and change my SMTP server to "mail.btinternet.com" (yes, mail, not SMTP), but it doesn't work, nor does "smtp." or "btinternet.co.uk"

Any ideas?
