I might be a numpty for this but basically ive got a 2 month old toshiba laptop with vista basic on it, i used to be able to play dvds and for some reason now i cant.
i used to use toshiba dvd player and that worked fine, now it plays but with a number of green lines through the screen.
so i tried windows media player and it says i need to upgrade vista or get the codecs, im presuming its mpeg-2 or something??
i dont plan on upgrading vista, does anybody know where i can download a dvd playing program with these built in instead of faffing around with the codecs??
or names of programs and ill get them off torrent??
help much appreciated, greg.
