i cant beleive that for a second marty.

Ram is going to let you run so much more at once!

Correct me if im wrong, but my N80 has poo all ram and cant really hack 3 I.E windows open, let alone running maps and anything else...

Id say the more ram will make a MASSIVE improvement (yet to use one tho!)

N82 looks not as good as the N95

N95 classic is much better, it has removable memory (8GB cards can be got for £40 on eBay) and a lens cover (whats the point of a 5.0meg camera with fucked lense?

it has about 20 minutes more battery (will still need a charge every day) and buttons on front are too small

screen is 3mm bigger which is nothing, Also costs more too.

RAM isnt an issue on n95 classic if you upgrade to v20 firmware

Hmm strange - wonder why they bothered changing the hardware behind it then.

The 8GB N95 also has a much improved GPS device in it which is meant to lock on much quicker and get a better signal

Im due and upgrade next week but im holding out for the N82, Robbo any dates?

Robbo

ALL the N95 8GB's are black, ditto the N81 8GB's... also some of the N95 8GBs (maybe all, Im not sure) have Spiderman 3 preloaded

As said above, some shhops have recreated them by sellign a normal one with an 8GB SD but they are slower, poorer battery, smaller screen etc

DarkBahamut

posted on 17th Dec 07 at 01:50

The main differences (for the user) are the larger battery, double the ram (64MB to 128MB - low ram is a very big complaint on the N95), 8GB built in memory (memory card slot removed), its has a slightly larger screen and a few other minor things.

Some shops do indeed sell an N95 with an 8GB memory card. This is NOT and N95 8GB.

if its silver with a memory card its just an n95 mate, the n95 black has 8gb built in and is indeed black. has soem better features too including better battery and a slightly bigger screen

Not all of the 8G N95s are black though. The only difference is the memory card afaik.
