Thats only if the LCD has the controller board on it.

Most are handled directly via the laptop motherboards, so making it impossible unless you spend quite a few £££'s getting a controller which can interface with 15pin VGA.

tbh, its cheaper (and easier) to just buy a 15" LCD from ebay or wherever...

Unless there exactly the same laptop, with exactly the same screen, theoretically you 'could' splice the display into the wiring for the good laptop, but it will just mirror it and also the quality will be less due to the signal split between 2 recievers.

Otherwise, no.

Depends whats broken.

The screen can't be easily used on its own though.

Can a broken laptop be used as a 2nd screen?

With another laptop, and a splitter?

Thanks :)
