Well not really, I don't really seem to think it's a good idea to buy a computer which doesn't have the right software on it in the first place if you are going for a ready built system, but I guess it's an option though...

Not too keen on Dell laptops. Can't seem to get the spec I want on them as they put the right hardware and OS on the XPS, but too small a screen and a poverty spec graphics card to match. On the other models you get the right size screen and a good graphics card, but the wrong o/s.

i would recommend Dell laptops and not their Desktops  i have an Acer and that is fairly poor, its quite an old one but doesnt get used that much and on a 100% charge i get a marathon 9 minutes of sluggish use

Look at Dells, very good value for money and if anything does go wrong the support is better than the competition imo.

You could run Virtual PC on it too if you didnt want to dual boot.

Not having a lot of luck finding them anymore. Might just have to get an HP or something, which is a bit gay as they market them towards idiots who don't mind paying shit loads of money for somthing that isn't that special :| Though every time I go into a computer shop I get more and more tempted by a Mac Book. Gay.

Asus and Acer (IIRC) both do whitebox type thingies that you can then build up yourself.
