That does seem to be an incredibly wank deal for all the 360 owners that never had the original xbox.

Hey, that £200 he spent on a 'games machine' was well spent. That measily £200 is good to go for 3 years.

I make that just over £66 a year for an excellent gaming experience

plus 40 a year to play online, making it 106 a year and not knowing when in this 3 year time or how many times it will break.

worth 106 all day long. reliability and that:thumbs:

I pay £11 / 13 months off ebay for my XBL :)

As well as bragging about having eight million users, Microsoft has given us a few more solid FACTS about the free Xbox Live giveaways its doing to fuel the parying.

It's celebrating the fifth birthday of Xbox Live by giving everyone a free Xbox Live Arcade game. You can have whatever you want, for free, between the morning of November 15 and the morning of November 17. Yes, even that really expensive 1200 point one you've been umming and ahhing about.

As well as that, the extremely generous major corporation is GIVING AWAY 500 MS Points to every Xbox Live Gold member. The only catch is you have to be an "active" Xbox Live member, so presumably you won't get the free stuff if you haven't bothered logging in for few months.

More proper facts about the whole joyous festival of free can be found over at the official Xbox Live is 5ive site.
