With the Sky router you can install the default Netgear firmware onto it. The username to log in is admin and the password is sky. You will need to get the instructions for the router off of Netger too as I'm sure you're aware that the instructions that Sky provide you with are for 3 year olds

Dont get manuals nowadays, just bloody CD's with rubbish info on.

I just wanna know if my Netgear equipment is reverse compatible with all networks if I get an account with another company.

In the last year, my Mum has tried to go Wireless in the house.

We now have a BT Wireless Router and a Sky Wireless Router and a Wireless USB transmitter thingy. Yet we are still using a wire coz none of it will hook up to the next bit for some reason - Sky customer are wank and are in India and I dont understand what they are saying so we quit the Sky Contract but still have all the Netgear stuff.

Can I use it to connect to another ISP like Bulldog for example using the Netgear equipment left over from Sky if Bulldog issue me with parameters or a Have Disc?

Thanks,

Ben.

Oh yeah, currently using a BT Voyager non-wireless modem - how do I find the IP / DNS setting for it? Its not in Connection Settings, it just shows me my onboard LAN card and the wireless network that doesnt work.
