Ah right.

Set up a new profile, with administrator rights and do it that way? You can then take ownership of it, and once you've saved all your bits and bobs, delete it.

I don't need to really, it just bugs me that it says C:\users\currys as it's an ex display model :lol:

You can do it, by messing with the registry. It usually means that a lot of your programs will bugger up and won't load.

Why is it that you need to do it, as I may have alternative solutions.

iirc if you change the account name it doesn't change the name in the documents and settings and won't ever.

create the second user and transfer documents?

this info may not be the best advice :o

C:\users\xxxxx to C:\users\yyyyy ?

I can't seem to do it, renaming user accounts doesn't do it and I can't do it in control panel after typing c:\ in the bar at the top.

It's quite annoying as it's not what I want it to be.

On Vista BTW.
