not really. Not all games/apps can make real use of SLi to its full extent yet, and most tests have shown a decent card to be better quality than two not-so-good.

Someone has recommended this for £420 ish.

Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R Socket 775 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard

Corsair 2GB Kit (2x1GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 XMS2 Memory

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 2.66GHz 1333FSB Socket 775 4MB Cache Retail Boxed Processor

EVGA 8800GTS SuperClocked 320MB DDR3 DVI PCI-E Graphics Card

Any good?

Basically, my motherboard is now fubared.

Given that it needs replacing, might as well upgrade it.

With a budget of £400ish, can you recommend me
a: a motherboard
b: processor
c: PCI-E graphics card
d: at least 3gb ram

I already have a newish Creative X-Fi gamer, as well as an Arctic 700w power supply.

I've always gone with AMD previously, although i'm not too fussy. I want something reasonably good for gaming and whatnot. The motherboard doesn't need onboard sound or graphics either, so i'd prefer to get one without.
