Skoda UK charge about 360 for the part apparently and nobody knows if it actually works or not yet.

I spotted a group buy on briskoda which was originally for bluetooth kits that interface with it.

Whether they will actually materialise or work though is not 100% atm.

Better stop spamming this thread as well.

To make this less like spam I will actually test the simpsons the 1st time I catch it on.

It says at the beginning that it's in surround sound where available. Though I guess that doesn't actually mean it is broadcasted in it. Never mind...

Some movies definitely are.

I didn't know about the simpsons though, I'll check when its on later.

Isn't the Simpsons broadcasted in 5.1 on Sky One? Also, aren't movies broadcasted in 5.1 too?

yeah and im pretty sure the only channels that actually use 5.1 are the HD channels, just like virgin.

Sky+ and Sky HD are the only boxes that support 5.1

Some of the newest Sky boxes have digital optical out.

Our surround systems has 3 AV channels, are you on the right one? :look:

If its just a normal sky box, best thing to do is just use the red and white audio cables and link it up to your av receiver. Only sky + and hd have real 5.1 audio out. I think thats right ? thats what im doing and works fine for me.

shouldnt that be audio out on the Sky, and audio in on the surround sound?!

Try running it through an aux. Like a dvd player.

I tried two ways:

1) using the video out on the surround sound and linking that up to audio on the sky box

2) linking the surround and sky box using a scart lead.

you should have a cable connecting the audio output of the sky box to an input on the surround system

How you linking it up?
Looked in the sound settings on the Sky menu?

I've just bought a Samsung surround sound system, and have tried linking it all up but cannot get the 5.1 to work with the Sky box. It works fine with the DVD player and Radio but not Sky or TV.

Am I missing something simple?
