If your trying to connect the xbox to the net you can plug it straight into the back of the modem via eithernet cable. If the xbox is set to automatically detect an IP address it will pick it up from the modem. You dont have to manually give the xbox an IP address. | |

the ip address will be the IP address of the XBOX, different to any machine on the internal network if using a router) this should be dynamic if your behind a router | |

Pretty sure it will be your WAN address. As this is then routed to your PC. | |

Ipconfig /all doesn't work on mine behind a router. I only get my PC's assigned IP 192.168.2.2 and the routers address of 2.1 etc... | |

how do i find out the ip address for my internet connection? im on tiscali, need it to connect to xbox live. |
