You should be able to record with Sky+, just not record and watch another channel at the same time, which you wouldn't be able to do off of Sky with a HDD recorder anyway.

Moved into a new flat and unfortunately it's only pre-wired for standard sky (Sky plus and HD requires 2 wires from the aeriel apparently). So basically I'm looking for similar functions as sky plus a different way. Do Hard Disk tv recorders operate well with sky or are they a bit limited?
