from what i gather, you have to re-flash it prior to getting banned. Once banned you're fooked and it's a dead console for playing on xbox live :(

 excellent

Link to the original ebay ad?

It sounds like your well within your rights to tell him to do one!

mate if you have advertised it as flashed and you havent said anything like "YOU CAN GET ON XBOX LIVE" then tell him to sling his hook

If the advert 100% clearly stated that the console was flashed, then they don't have a leg to stand on - like you say, sounds like ignorance on their part.

Just tell them that the advert clearly stated that the console was flashed, you've never had the console connected to xbox live, the console you sent was fully working and it was up to the buyers discretion to know that console could be banned due to it being flashed.

Right, not sure if anyone will be able to help but here goes...

I recently got rid of an xbox360 that was modified with xtreme firmware to play copied games. The console has never seen the end of an ethernet cable so has therefore never been online.

I sold it last weekend on ebay and they came and collected it on sunday. They have rang me today, saying that it has been banned from xbox live and they want their money back.

They were MORE THAN aware that it was modified to play copies, as far as I know theyve just got it banned from xbox live through their own ignorance and now don't want it so are trying to pin the blame on me!

Where do I stand?

Any help appreciated
Cheers
John
