i have it at work and will soon use it for both work and home use, how is it poor? its very similar to xp excet uses a flashy interface people who say XP is much better are chumps trying to look clever by saying vista is crap.

Once drivers are about for most things it will take off plus XP oem wont be available to buy soon

its superb imo, yes it has problems only because of drivers etc etc SP1 should help that though.

get the premuim a bit more i think but whats money :o, try get a copy of Microsoft 2007 just to keep up with the times, and Vista isn't all that great tbfh it still got teething problems, as my cousin in America has pointed out to me :D

Vista would run like a bag of nuts and bolts on that.

Doubt you'll find many vista laptops with less than a gig ram and a better proc, which puts the price up.

Dont know about the particular model...but mine has a crystalbrite screen of some sort...its not a dull one...I wouldnt say its Glass as it has some give in it...but its not dull...its very bright...

Look out for the crytalbrite ones

looking at this lappy. couple of things. it worth gettin a lappy that doesnt have vista on it? whats the media centre setup like?

also do these acer screens have the glass front rather than the oldschool ming laptop screens that r all dull?!
