Only noise coming from psu is the fan.

Get a quiet psu.

Graphics cards fans and other small high speed ones are the worst.

Still, dropping the speed is the best way to lose noise.

Nobody apart from me is able to tell if my pc is on or not.

I will be looking to cut the noise from the psu and other components rather than the fans, wont really have too much of a problem with those.

High speed fans make the most noise.

Using the sound damping foam will create a heat build up.

Turning the fans down to 7v will drop a significant amount of noise and you'll have slightly less airflow, most likely not far off the heat the foam keeps in.

if you're running lots of fans it may also be worth looking into some rubber vibration absorbing fan mounts - i use these and am very pleased with the results

Dynamat is often a good thing to use.

OK in that case it might be worth looking for sound proofing on ebay - doesnt necesarily have to be intended for a PC i guess as long as it does the jbo :thumbs:

I'll be doing multiple PC's so could do with a larger/cheaper quantity of it!

No too bothered about it retaining heat, the cases will have more than enugh cooling!
