Main difference is the fact that one is Windows (well NT usually) and the other is Linux. Noticeable difference not a great deal, just the fact that linux is cheaper and for what you need, i would got with a linux box :)

edit - draw, what if you need ASP or .net? linux doesn't natively support asp (chilli is a bit bodged), so you would need a windows box then.

Linux allows for more server side applications to be run, but I dont think supports frontpage extensions..

Id go with linux over windows everytime.

;) Plus its uk hosted and for that price its a bargin. They obviously do other packages and as there quite small they will do any package you want if you contact them.
Customer service is tops too, usually get a response within an hr or so :)

in english please rob? I dont know the difference between a bandwith and jigabite

www.i-websolutions.co.uk

16 quid a year gets you 100mb space and 2GB of bandwidth a month, which is a bargin for uk hosted sites. :)

btw, when choosing a host remember there is not such thing as unlimited bandwidth, its a con and you will get screwed somewhere for it!

I am a complete numpty with this type of thing:(

I own the domain name and have got the website being built, need some advice on who to use for hosting and what sort of package I need. its not a huge site, maybe 10 pages at most to start with.

thanks
