DVI can output at HDMI resolution and no loss of quality either cos its all digital, so DVI is all you need really :P

that would work, but I was just thinking if you've forked out the cash for a HD capable tv you may as well spend like another £30-£40 and get a graphics card that can output at the right resolution and a better quality.

if it has HDMI then depending what you will be using it for it may be worth spending a few more £ and getting a newer graphaics card with DVI out and get a DVI to HDMI lead. My 5m DVI to HDMI lead was £110, the home cinema ones aren't cheap!

What inputs does your TV have on the back of it? That will answer your questions in some cases.
