I use Windows One Care Live. It's quite good. It isn't free, though.

try the corporate edition, got 9.6 running here now. no issues with software conflicts, its not resource hungry, just sits there nice & quiet, updates itself, keeps everything in order!

hmm but how much is that?. As said before AVG is free and along with ZA, and router firewall I haven't had anything major happen in 5 years that hasn't been resolved using the above software. Unless Norton is the worth paying for extra over AVG then I doubt many will change.

Ooops run Windows Defender as well.

Out of interest, what is so bad about Norton Antivirus? I use it and it seems fine to me and does its job.

Personally I hate it, I've always had conflicts with other software when running it in the past. It's a pain to fully remove and sometimes can be resource hungry. No doubt the newer versions are better but I refuse to pay for it when AVG suits me fine and have never had a problem with it.
