Whenever i connect to the net, within a minute i get something pop up saying ss.exe.exe could not be loaded and needs to shut down or something along those lines i cant really remember.
So i close the window down and from then on i can hear my HD churning away constantly and my computer is slow as f*ck. Sounds like im loading something up.
I did a search for ss.exe.exe in my files and it came up with 2 things:
SS.EXE.EXE-206EBDEF.pf which is found in C:\WINDOWS\prefetch and is a 15kb PF file

and

ss.exe which is found in C:\WINDOWS\system32 and is a 126kb application.

What are these and can i just delete them? Im guessing its some kind of virus?
