hey if you figure out what it is could you u2u me and let me know, i have a friend in the same situation, thought it was a software conflict but obviously not as when i formatted it for him it done the exact same.. also got a brand new USB 2.0 card and it gave the same errors about the peace of hardware malfunctioning.. i put it down to the motherboards main USB conflicting after somthing has done some damage, he hadnt plugged anything in the wrong way either. its quite strange, i just dont have the parts to test pc's anymore as i dont work as a computer engineer anymore. gave up working in the shop about 2 years ago. | |

Has there been something plugged in thats drawn too much current and damaged the usb controller on the board. | |
