I'm running it on my laptop. I think the biggest problem its got so far is software compatilibity. I have tried installing a few things and get warnings about it not being fully compatible.

Other than that i have found it to work quite well. If the application support was there I would move it over as my primary OS (well thats if Work purchased a license lol)

It appears as fast as XP etc when doing things like playing back video although I have not quite sorted out playing ts or h264 files on it yet

Just installed it on a laptop here and its very nice I have to say.

I doubt i'll leave all the fancy stuff turned on on my main system but i'll have a play on the laptop just now anyway.

not sure about activation, but you can install without a CD key as a type of 'trial'

prolly with a beta or cpp key, which will eventually expire

Might install it later on.

I was thinking about when something like nero will come out but there should be oem pc's and laptops shipping before xmas so there must be something coming soon.

anyone running this yet? i cant afford it when it comes out so dunno weather to try installing a torrent. even though activation cracks are already out i dunno if its gonna last cause obviously microsoft have done so much to stop pirates with vista...

im running RC2 atm and i can run this til july so might just stick wit this for now. dont get many problems other than most games dont even install! and still no support for cd/dvd burning, but thats what i keep XP on dual boot for
